Tires (TPMS)
What is TPMS? TPMS stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. TPMS is a warning system indicating to the operator when a tire is significantly under-inflated.
The Tread Act Congress passed the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act in the fall of 2000. This requires a warning system to indicate under inflated tires.
Bryant’s Auto & Tire Service will:
- Test all your TPMS valves before servicing the tires on your vehicle.
- If any of the tire valves are not working you will be notified before we proceed with servicing the tire/wheel assembly.
- The TPMS valves will be reprogrammed and confirmed in working order before your vehicle leaves.
Can the TPMS system be bypassed? No, Under 49 U.S.C 30122(b),”A manufacturer, distributor, dealer, or motor vehicle repair business may not knowingly make inoperative any part of a device or element of design installed on or in a motor vehicle or motor vehicle equipment in compliance with an applicable motor vehicle safety standard prescribed under this chapter…”
Muffler & Exhaust
Your muffler and exhaust system filters harmful gasses and keeps them from flowing into your car or truck. Overtime, climate and road conditions can wear out the parts of your exhaust system over time so it is important to get any issues check out immediately. Luckily, it’s usually pretty easy to detect a problem with your exhaust system or muffler. Your car or truck will be a lot louder than usual.
Suspension, Shocks & Struts Repair
Your steering and suspension system is what controls the feel of your car. A well-tuned suspension will ensure that your vehicle drives straight and also limit wear and tear on your vehicles parts and tires. Problems with your shocks, struts and suspension are usually easy to see. Here are a few signs that your suspension or steering system may need work:
- Fluid leaking from shocks or struts
- Steering is stiff, makes noise or pulls to one side
- Excessive bouncing after hitting a bump
- Your car nose dives when you hit the brakes
- Uneven or cupped tire wear
- Visible dents or damage to shocks or struts

Air Conditioning
The main component of your car or truck’s cooling system is the radiator. This is responsible for keeping your engine cool and running efficiently. Coolant is pumped through the cooling system in your engine then back into the radiator where the heat is released to the outside air.
Bryant’s Auto & Tire Service also offers air conditioning repair for your car or truck. No one wants to sit through a hot car ride with no air conditioning. Bryant’s auto will check your seals, o-rings and hoses to make sure everything is working correctly.
Tire & wheel alignment is not just about keeping your car or truck going in a straight line. There are many other important reasons why your vehicle should be properly aligned. Alignment involves the adjustment of your car’s suspension too, not just wheels and tires. When your vehicle is not aligned properly, it can cause unnecessary wear and tear on your tires, suspension parts, ball joints and springs.
If your vehicle pulls to one side or even if you don’t notice anything wrong our experts can tell by the wear on your tires if your car is misaligned.

Timing Belt Service
What is a timing belt? The easiest way to describe the role of the timing belt in your engine is to compare it to the drummer in a band. The timing belt is responsible for keeping everything in the engine on beat and running smoothly. This synthetic rubber timing belt is in constant motion when the engine is on.
Why is a timing belt important? It controls the crankshaft with moves the pistons up and down to create energy to make the wheel rotate and it also controls the camshaft which opens and closes the engine valves to allow even air and gas flow in and out of the engine. Bryant’s Auto & Tire recommends replacing your timing belt every 4 years or 60,000 miles.
